What Is Life Coaching?

Coaching is based upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a talking therapy aimed at increasing human happiness. Through conversation, I will help you to understand why you find yourself in your current situation. We will look at various strategies, to motivate you and design a plan to move towards a new and more effective position in your life.

Life coaching is primarily focused on your pattern of thoughts and behaviours - in that its main tool is to help you gain insight and awareness into the ways in which thought/behavioural patterns are impacting upon your ability to meet your goals or ambitions in life.

Life coaching differs from counselling in that it is primarily focused on the present and the future. It may be necessary to look back to find the route causes of some your unhelpful thinking patterns and then untie some knots. Then I will come back to the, "where are you now?" and the "where do we want to go?".

Who is Life Coaching for?

Anyone who wants to improve some aspect of their life. You might want a new job/career or promotion in the one you have. To find your perfect partner, working on emotional blocks that effect your self confidence. You may want to get rid of destructive habits that have plagued your relationships. You might want to get more balance between your working and private life or you may just be unhappy without knowing why.

Whatever you want to change and being professionally trained counsellor,I am here to support you to develop and grown to reach your true potential..

What happens in the session? 

Sessions aim to be relaxed, friendly and positive experiences. You will not be told what to do, but instead supported towards finding your own ways forward. Through emphatic listening and in asking careful questions, you will be helped to find understanding in your life, and to begin to implement the changes you need.

How does Life Coaching work?

Sessions last for 50 minutes, usually on a weekly basis but may be less frequent according to your needs. You may just want one session, or we can work together for many months. Every case is unique, but as a rule of thumb, changes are generally seen between 6-8 sessions
